Yes, the beach is suitable for swimming always with precaution as it is an open water beach.
Does it has lifeguard service?
The beach front to the house does not have lifeguard service although this service is only 7 minutes walking distance at the next beach area close to Aguas Dulces town.
How far is the beach from the house?
The house is 150 meters away from the beach passing the dunes cord that delimit the beach area with our property.
Is the pond by the house swimmable?
Yes it is, the water is calm and clean with a 2 meters max depth in the middle. In the same way this is up to personal preference as it is a natural pond with wild life living in it.
How far is the house from Aguas Dulces town?
Aguas Dulces town is 5 minutes away by car or 25 minutes walking on the main road. Is also 10 minutes away walking by the beach.
How far is the closest city?
Castillos is the closest city only 15 minutes away by car on rute 16, the main road that connect it to Aguas Dulces town. In the city you can find big grocery strores with more variety of products, hospitals and other services.
How far is the closest grocery store?
Aguas Dulces has several small grocery stores to buy basic products as well as a variety of food opcions and other services. Bigger grocery stores to find more specific products are located in Castillos 15 minutes away from town.
Is any medical service in Aguas Dulces?
There is a First Aid clinic in Aguas Dulces town. For better assitance you need to go to Castillos where you will find Castillos Public Hospital and othe private clinics like Médica Uruguaya and Comero.
Is the house prepared for winter stays?
Yes! not only is prepared for it but is also thought to enjoy it. The house has a fireplace and airconditioning as well as double glass windows for it maximum confortness. It has a cozy livingroom, Netflix service for storm days, High speed internet, unlimited hot water and very comfortable beds and bed linen.
Is the house suitable for kids?
Of course! The house is prepared for the whole family. It has two twin bunk beds and a double bed. The surrounding area is also good for playing as the house is located on a hill so you can watch the little ones play in the garden from the deck. Having that said is good to know there are certain areas where you need to keep an eye on them as this is a wild life area to be aware of potentially dangerous animals like snakes. Also notice the deck has no railing so is not the best for younger kids to be left alone.
What other places can I visit while staying at Pangea?
Pangea is located at the heart of Rocha equidistant from La Pedrera and Punta del Diablo in opposite direction, both places with amazing beaches, a wide variety of restaurants and night life. Close by you can also visit the charming towns of Valizas and Cabo Polonio where you might want to come back! The Monte de Ombues is a great hiking activity by the shore of Valizas lagoon where you can kayak or paddle board as well as in Laguna Negra close to the Santa Teresa National park where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful local sunset.
